Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to qualify for Boston. I just met my goal of breaking 4 hrs and want to take the next step.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to keep running into my old age. I want to run marathons all around the world.

Personal:

I am 45, married with two kids. Just started getting serious about running in August of 2010. I used to run 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym 2 or 3 times a week and thought that was running. I was 210lbs when I started. I am around 160lbs now. Lost all the weight in about 4-5 months and have never felt better. For work, I am an ophthalmologist. I take care of many local sports teams and have spent a lot of time learning about training, exercise and nutrition from the great training staff of the Phoenix Suns.

The Vancouver Course is a beautiful run. Lots of down hills and lots of views of the water to keep your mind occupied. This is the first year of the new course. I bet it sells out fast next year.

Congrats on your recent marathon finish. You must be quite pleased with the trend-line for your times. Pruning 25 minutes off your PR is really something else. 3:25 or bust!

Welcome to the blog. It looks like great things are in your future. I am a lifelong Jazz fan and got to take my kids to their first NBA game last month in SLC vs the Suns. It was a great game. My Jazz lost that one but rebounded a couple weeks later to make the playoffs. Very cool that you get to work with the team & staff. What a fantastic resource for personal knowledge.
